Walkability Audit

Aging in Place is conducting an ongoing walkability audit of the University of British Columbia’s Okanagan campus through the administration of surveys.

Our Initiative:

By inviting guests to assess the walkability of UBCO, we aim to create a socially inclusive environment that eliminates barriers and considers the needs of older adults.

This evaluation tool is an effective, community-based way to address acessibility issues surrounding infrastructure, traffic, urbanity, etc. 

What is the walkability audit?

By inviting guests to assess the walkability of UBCO’s socially inclusive community, we aim to eliminate barriers and consider the needs of older adults.
